Hello Blog, how I've missed you!

Oh my goodness, where did my summer go? It seems like just yesterday I was sitting down in a Starbucks with Laura setting my budget and starting to raise support to do full time ministry. And now, I am almost done! Praise God!

All of my support for this year is committed! I seriously can not even express how exciting this is! God is so faithful in what He calls us to do.

I am so eager to start working on the campus and building relationships with students! My main target area will be the Regency Student Housing. I am not entirely sure when my first "official" day on campus will be (I am still waiting on a few checks to come in before I can start) but man am I excited.

I do get to go on our awesome retreat this weekend, which I am beyond thrilled about! The coolest things happen at retreats. I think about numerous different students (myself included) who have had their first quiet time alone in God's word at retreats. I think about Z, who told me at the end of our last retreat "This changed my life, I really needed to put God on the throne of my life". I think about T, and the first time she came on a retreat with us she told me "God hates me, there is no way he could love someone like me". One of her recent facebook statuses was "Grace. My favorite word. Simply Beautiful"!! God changes lives at retreats!

I am so excited to be a part of what God is already doing on Auraria campus and in the lives of students there!

Would you guys please pray with me?
  • Pray that the rest of my support checks come in soon so I can start working on the campus full time
  • Pray for the Regency. That God will be preparing hearts and minds to receive Him and will raise up laborers for His Kingdom
  • Pray for the Retreat this weekend. That God will move in student's lives and they will grow closer to Him. Pray that our conversations will be full of God's grace and salt and will cause people to draw nearer to Him (Col 4:2-6)
